These requests may include:
- Customer data requests
- Customer data deletion requests
- Shop data deletion requests
ShipMeTrend verifies applicable Shopify webhook authentication before processing compliance requests.
6.1 Customer Data Requests
Authenticated Shopify customer-data requests are handled within 30 days of receipt.
Where ShipMeTrend holds responsive customer or order information, the relevant information may be prepared as a private disclosure for the applicable merchant.
The disclosure is made available to an authorized store owner through an authenticated ShipMeTrend Portal download or, where necessary, through another approved secure delivery method.
Privacy disclosure downloads are available for a limited period of 7 days.
Disclosure files and encrypted request-identification material associated with a completed request are deleted no later than 30 days after completion, while limited non-personal compliance and audit information may be retained to document that the request was handled.
ShipMeTrend does not include unrelated merchant information, supplier information, internal costs, internal margins, staff-only notes, credentials, or security information in customer-data disclosures.

6.3 Shop Redaction Requests
When Shopify sends a valid shop redaction request, ShipMeTrend removes or deidentifies Shopify-derived personal information associated with the applicable store.
Shop redaction may also include removal of:
- Shopify access credentials
- Shopify sessions
- Pairing information
- Identifying installation information
- Store-specific customer information

The independent ShipMeTrend merchant account or Client organization may remain where it exists separately from the Shopify installation.

Client export downloads are available for approximately 24 hours. After expiration, the associated stored export file is scheduled for physical deletion from ShipMeTrend’s private storage.
Shopify privacy disclosure downloads are available for 7 days.
Completed Shopify privacy disclosure files and encrypted request-identification material are deleted no later than 30 days after completion.
Limited non-personal audit or lifecycle information may be retained after file deletion to document operational and compliance activity.
7.2 Legally Required Retention
In some cases, ShipMeTrend may be required or permitted to retain certain records for accounting, tax, contractual, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, regulatory, or other lawful purposes.
Where personal information must be retained for such a purpose, access is restricted and the information is minimized or deidentified where reasonably possible.
The existence of a historical operational or commercial record does not necessarily require ShipMeTrend to retain unnecessary personal information associated with that record.
7.3 Backups and Disaster Recovery
Residual copies of information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or disaster-recovery systems until those copies expire through normal backup lifecycle processes.
Where appropriate, deletion and deidentification actions are reapplied following restoration from backup so that restored systems do not intentionally reintroduce personal information that was previously removed.
